I've just upgraded to a 24" LCD Wide-Screen Monitor. When I click on a movie to play the film, the screen tries to open wide-screen, then reverts back to the little square screen I've always seen.
Is there a way to change the size of the viewer? And do we have to always see the movies in QuickTime?
Any enlightment will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure exactly what it is you are trying to view, but most of the movies uploaded here are MPEG2 full screen. You will have to transcode them to wide screen. Don't know what quality the results will be. As for the player, if you are in Windows, right-click the video file and go to "open with". You will see a list of available players there.

When I right-click on the film title I do not get an "open with" message. I do get "Open in new window" and other messages, but nothing that lets me decide what video player I want to use. I am using Windows Vista.

try "Save target as" then once it's downloaded to your PC you can "rightclick>open with" and select the media player of your choice
